Male Forrest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo | Perth | WA
This male Forrest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo sat right outside my house in a Tipuana tree, happily chewing away on the tree’s seeds. They are majestic birds, unfortunately, like all the black cockatoo species in WA, they are under threat as their numbers have been declining over the last 60 years. I have volunteered for many years at Kaarakin and can only encourage anyone to check this organisation out and help to protect these beautiful birds.
