Forrest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo | West Australia

from A$29.00

This Forrest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo is either a female or young male. It sat right outside my house in a Tipuana tree one morning, accompanied by a bunch of his or her mates, happily chewing away on the seeds of the tree. They are majestic birds, unfortunately, like all the black cockatoo species in WA, they are under threat as their numbers have been declining over the last 60 years. I have volunteered for many years at Kaarakin and can only encourage anyone to check this organisation out and help to protect these beautiful birds.
