Rose Mallee with Honey Bee | Western Australia
The rose mallee (Eucalyptus rhodantha) or rose gum as it is also commonly known is native to parts of WA. The flower buds are enormous and as with most eucalypts there can be flower buds, flowers and seeds on the tree at the same time. And bees love them as well as they can often be spotted on the flower buds. It’s one of my favourite eucalypt species.
